Over the last few years the Daniel and Friends Fund have been intimately ( and often, personally ) involved with children battling chronic illness and/or disease, be it infectious diseases ( such as TB or HIV ) or conditions such as cancer, or brain damage and/or physical traumas associated with accidents. 

What is Touching the Heart?

It is a project which hopes to create a platform upon which the stories of medically-fragile and/or differently abled children's journeys might be shared. With words often doing little justice to the challenges and adversities these children and their families face on a regular basis, we could think of no more perfect way to provide the community with this unique insight than through a one of a kind photographic book which exhibits the extra-ordinary photographic talent of Candice Rodrigues. 

The book will not only create awareness but will also become a medium through which others can get involved by either purchasing a book or selecting canvasses from the featured images which can be made and personalised to order. Contact us for details.

The proceeds of these purchases will be allocated to Daniel and Friends Fund. It will be utilised towards projects which are designed around making a profound difference in the lives of children and families who face formidable challenges. 

The initiative also consist of a Touching the Heart annual Gala Fundraiser every year.
